I have been striving to become a locavore, and am slowly finding more and more AMAZING products Kentucky has to offer. We have so many great local finds...and I am going to show you each one as I come across them! BUT if you are feeling curious, just check out my "Local Lovin" tab at the top of the page :)
I found this lotion when I was shopping at my local health food store, Rainbow Blossom, looking for a new body butter or lotion to try because my skin was feeling pretty dry. I noticed that they had quite a few items of Earthy Browns, and after I read the ingredients, and saw that they were a local company, I decided to try their "natural scent" lotion stick. (They only sell their lotion in stick form btw.) This stuff is THE. BOMB. For real. It smells like pure cocoa butter, and makes my dry hands, knees, elbows, and feet soften up immediately.
The lotion comes in a 2 ounce, plastic twist up tube, kind of similar to one you would find for a deodorant. The ingredient list is one to be cherished...it has nothing but organic moisture giving oils and butters such as coconut oil, grapeseed oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, and their very own yellow beeswax from their own apiary. Such amazing quality, and very affordable! The price is $6.99, which very reasonable, especially to be organic.
I have a job that makes me wear rubber coated gloves to protect my hands from being cut, and I stand on my feet for 8 hours on concrete. Needless to say, both parts need moisture like crazy. I would LOVE to just slather this stuff all over me like I do with body butter...but that's just not practical. It is just 2 oz. after all.
I really love to use this on my feet before putting on my socks, and also after washing my hands. I wash my hands quite often during the day, especially after handling our chickens or my rabbit, and all of the oils really replenish and re-hydrate my parched skin.
If you are looking for a really great, all natural, hydrating lotion for the cold winter weather, I really recommend checking out Earthy Browns! I always love supporting, and spreading love for local businesses!
